Third annual Lily’s Tea Party fundraiser benefiting St. Jude’s slated for April 2 – The Advocate

The third annual Lilys Tea Party will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. April 2 at The Venue, 13475 La. 431, St. Amant.

The event features an afternoon tea, silent auction, door prizes and entertainment. Tea party attire is encouraged.

Lily Raffray, of St. Amant, was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma in August 2014 when she was 5 years old. She is in remission after undergoing treatment at St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, and its Baton Rouge affiliate clinic.

Lily and her grandmother Vanessa Babins love for tea parties inspired Lilys Tea Party, a celebration of Lilys cancer-free status. Lily, Babin and Lilys mother, Julie Raffray, plan and host the tea party, along with family friends.

All money raised from the tea party goes to Team Lily Raffrays fundraising goals for the Baton Rouge St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer and the St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend. The team has raised more than $13,000 since 2014.

Reservations are $20 per person and must be made in advance. Make checks payable to Lilys Tea Party and mail to 43240 Black Bayou Road, Gonzales, LA 70737 or pay online at paypal.me/lilysteaparty (choose the Personal Payment option).
