Ann Coulter tweets Chris Christie is ‘dead to me’

TRENTON Conservative political commentator and author Ann Coulter was once a big fan of Gov. Chris Christie.

Clearly, that's no longer the case.

After Christie's hand-picked choice for U.S. Senate, Jeff Chiesa, voted in favor of an immigration reform bill Thursday, Coulter took to Twitter to blast the governor.

"Gov. Christie's dead to me," she wrote Thursday afternoon.

She ended the tweet by writing "CRUZ 2016!" in an apparent reference to U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), a possible contender in the 2016 presidential election.

It's not the first time the governor has gotten into Coulter's crosshairs, however. At the GOP convention in August, Coluter said she loved Christie but was upset he didn't launch more of an attack against President Obama.

Chiesa replaced Frank Lautenberg following the Democrat's death earlier this month. A special election to fill the seat will be held later this year.
