Vitalik Buterin, Ethereums co-founder, has unveiled a detailed plan to safeguard the blockchain against quantum threats. The infrastructure to implement a hard fork like this could, in principle start to be built tomorrow, making the Ethereum ecosystem maximally ready in case a quantum emergency does actually come to pass, Buterin stated.
